A quick note about myself

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to have a look at my site. I thought I'd take up this space to tell you a little bit about me as I'm forever learning and evolving at every point.

Throughout my working career, I have had a mix of roles and responsibilities. I worked in the oil & gas sector for close to 14 years, ranging from contracts to reporting, to IT-esc roles. Further to my O&G roles, I have been employed in sales, service, and e-commerce roles.

I have a business degree. The program itself was a mix of a business focus with a blend of computer-related courses. I have always been interested in technology and how it can benefit both our personal and the business world.

In January of 2022, I was laid off from an oil and gas measurement software company. As I was turning my eye to the tech sector this was a blessing. I was selected for this highly competitive, experiential-based learning program for oil and gas professionals called EDGE UP 2.0 (Energy to Digital Growth Education and Upskilling Project). Through this program I am gaining skills in product management fundamentals, identifying marketing opportunities, sales, and business development principles, managing a product lifecycle, and analyzing the impact of digital transformation. I will complete this program in mid-August.

With that in mind, I am extremely excited to bridge my experiences with this course and combine it with my work experience to make a full transition to the tech industry as a Product Manager. I am excited about what I will accomplish in the next phase of my career.
